So the novel was very interesting at the start. The main character made proper relationships with other people and eventually a lot of them paid off by showing off the cruelty of time which the MC is wholly unaffected by. I actually felt some emotions while I was reading about people I liked becoming old and passing on... And then everyone he met during that period of time died and while he would occasionally make some acquaintances from then on it lacked that feeling of attachment. It became more and more like a classic cultivation novel up until the MC got an old talking sword that would spout exposition for him, started fighting with others for resources, and being chased around by cultivators multiple levels higher than him for entire arcs. Yeah I've read other novels in which this happened and enjoyed them but this isn't what this novel was about to me. Not to mention the author keeps coming up with reasons why his immortality wouldn't work on this thig or another.
Loved it to start out, the growth and flow was fantastic but the last couple 200 or so chapters I just got frustrated with it.
what can i say? 24 chapters and i can already tell that it was not good. it was fine around 20 or so chapters but him meddling in other people's business trying to be a hero when he doesn't even have any real power to speak of beside not dying is just pathetic mindset. sure, it was the morally good decision but what about after it? he didn't even think of the aftermath that it would cause to him and the fatal risk that it would bring him had his immortality came to light. i dont mind it if his cheat are just some systems or something that won't make him a 'delicacy' to the cultivators, they would just think that he's crazy strong and probably have some 'secret'. but his cheat? if knowledge about his immortality came out, then most if not all famous and infamous people would go crazy about him. all for the sake of saving some neighbor that he will outlive anyways. what a f*ck*ng good decision.
first 300 chaps were great, but every chapter from then on became more and more cliche and worse.😭

I just want to ask those who read up to the latest, did he ever met master si (the fat rabbit) and black bean (the black dog) again?
