Summary

Empires rise and fall on the Yulan Continent. Saints, immortal beings of unimaginable power, battle using spells and swords, leaving swathes of destruction in their wake. Magical beasts rule the mountains, where the brave – or the foolish – go to test their strength. Even the mighty can fall, feasted on by those stronger. The strong live like royalty; the weak strive to survive another day.

This is the world which Linley is born into. Raised in the small town of Wushan, Linley is a scion of the Baruch clan, the clan of the once-legendary Dragonblood Warriors. Their fame once shook the world, but the clan is now so decrepit that even the heirlooms of the clan have been sold off. Tasked with reclaiming the lost glory of his clan, Linley will go through countless trials and tribulations, making powerful friends but also deadly enemies.

Come witness a new legend in the making. The legend of Linley Baruch!

A powerful guy named leylin giving advice to linley huh? Idk if this novel pre-dates warlock of the Magus world but it would be a nice reference to leylin, having finished all the main quests and now helping mcs of other novels

Yo guys i need a spoiler Does linley use the second method of becoming a deity (separating his soul and do divine in spark) and does he cultivate his main body to deity again but with earth laws and fuse the 2 bodies?

2nd option, which is better. . he'll have divine clones that can cultivate separately in different laws and elements helping him fuse them faster to become a paragon highgod. Also if a clone dies his original body since it hasn't fused the spark, can continue to cultivate to sovereign level. . . if he were to choose the first method and then die, he'd be finished. To answer your second question: yes, but it's not the bodies fusing it's the elemental laws he's cultivating that he fuses. . hence why having multiple clones will help do that faster.

It's been like 200 chapters since linley used an offensive type spell lol, I can understand why since his warrior side is much stronger but I hope that his magic gets more attention in the future

Do remember his bloodline is of warriors. He chose magic because his bloodline wasn't pure enough at first...his overuse of magic resulted in a weaker body which was his weakness at first. However, to abate your curiosity, he does use some wildly destructive spells once he starts fusing the elemental laws... he's honestly more of a magic swordsman.

Pretty much this. When he starts out magic is his main strength. When he gains a dragonform he side lines it, becoming puely auxiliary. When he finally reaches saint level as a mage he begins to actively us it again. At diety level everything is 1 in the same. Some fusions of the mysteries are similar to spells. But he remains an avid close combat fighter. Only really relying on soul attacks in the final volumes.

I started reading novels (cultivation/fantasy) almost 7 years ago i was there when coiling dragon was translated chapter by chapter and by now i have read dozens of novels. That being said coiling dragon still remains one of my favorite novels(top 5)and i always recommend it as first novel to any friend who wants to start to read cultivation/fantasy novels. Furthermore even now after so many years , the quality of world building of the coiling dragon isnt to easy found in other novels. Moreover the death of a certain character in the novel still pains me. Coiling dragon 10/10 Recommend to every fellow daoist out there.

Of course , i will share with you some of my favorites which i have completed so far , Desolate Era / Martial World where the most enjoyable and the most easy to read . Also some very good ones are the Stellar Transformations / Shen Yin Wang Zuo /Martial Universe /Battle Through the Heavens /I Shall Seal the Heavens/ Douluo Dalu (the first one) / Renegade Immortal / A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality / A Will Eternal/ The Great Ruler Finally the Martial Peak i havent finished yet but its quite good though its very big. ps Against the gods is also good but its ongoing, ps 2 the Transcending the Nine Heavens is quite good too but when i was reading the translation wasnt very fast and the mtl wasnt readable ( I have destroyed my reading experience with a few novels with the mtl) so i had put it aside ... though from the 1/4 which i had read i find it very good with good humor. i will try to read it again in the near future.

its to make the term 'weak to strong' give more punch if a person with an unusual/average name can also become strong... in that sense
