One advise for everyone, dont read this sh*t its just a huge disappointment.
For the people who keep saying MC is sooooo petty because he hates on the old man they either chose not to understand the reasoning behind it or took it at face value. The intention behind giving him that sutra was honestly malicious because old man was angry he was rejected thus forced MC to learn it by injecting it into his head. From the original conversation MC never wanted to be a cultivator or even if he did old man obviously didn't think he did cuz he gave a obvious sutra that is not helpful for mc to start with cultivation. This is like MC helps a rich person get their wallet when they dropped it then old rich dude hands them a blank check and says go and live a good life, then MC declines but is left holding the check while old man disappears, MC visits the bank and try cashing said check only to realize that old man's name on check is a letter off thus not being able to get his money then is arrested for fraud and kept in jail his entire life

does anyone know why the author does not release new chapters? i know that there are 130 chapters on websites with paywall, but there the most recent upload seems to be a month ago. did it got discontinued? would be a shame as i love the story so far: funny, interesting, well-written & most importantly no pseudo-harem of a monogamic mc (hate that hypocritical BS with a passion)
