he's once defeated a young asura from the Thyestes clan and he barely won. although he's nowhere close to the older generation, so he's not yet asura level, it's more like he's pushing himself, although he's strong enough to handle the scythes now and even more than strong enough to handle multiple retainers (maybe even multiple scythes), although the author still managed to maintained the power system, meaning the lances still don't hold a candle to the retainers which is really unique in this day and age, normally in the other novels, everyone suddenly becomes a genius once the mc becomes stronger than the enemies (those authors would begin to explain to us just how his genius companions are proper geniuses, born out of genius parents. lol (that's just parody). honestly, at this point there has to be entities beyond their world. it can't just be the asuras... since there are other worlds, and we know it's not impossible to go across worlds. there might be an overarching entity.

I mean, if there is mana in their world and Ki in arthur's former world, there has to be other forms of energy and other worlds in maybe their multiverse, with very little difference in each world or universe (about the overarching entity) I said that because Arthur is just at the Aether core 2nd layer. but he's already strong enough to rival asuras (he'd probably be able to face the older ones at 3rd layer), while people at the white core stage, the 6th stage of mana manipulation still don't stand a chance against retainers, then what if arthur reaches the 6th layer of the aether core and if you remember. Aether core art are split in 3 with the 4th one still known but unknown Aevum: Aether that controls Time. Spatium: Aether that controls Space. Vivum: Aether that controls Existence. Fate: Aether that controls Destiny. Imagine being able to use even one of this to it's maximum potential, there wouldn't be a story anymore, but the dragons arrogance are stopping them from improving.

Getting another layer won't mean sh*t, aether is purer and a bit faster to channel which wouldn't do anything, he needs to master his abilities not get another layer. Destruction should be priority. And now about other worlds, we will not be seeing those considering that we know absolutely nothing about them (only thing we know is that they do exist and agrona said they are weak or smth like that, he just wanted legacy) and the only way to get to one world from another would be to reincarnate. Godstep can only go to another realm/dimension of one world (Etheopius or whatever the name is, and relictombs/ruins are in another realm/dimension) and arthur can now step into those dimensions and even could create a home or smth there.

Although now that I think about it, Aether arts is an untapped territory, even though the djinns didn't have an Aether core, remnants of their knowledge were able to help Agrona search through worlds for the legacy and even reincarnate arthur and his 2 other friends, and they did all that without an Aether core. Arthur has an Aether core. Also, we don't know if within the 3rd layer there would be a bigger change than the Aether becoming purer. we really don't know yet. just like how we just found out about the integration stage.
