Trash of the Count's Family (백작가의 망나니가 되었다) is a Korean isekai webnovel series written by Yoo Ryeo Han (유려한) in the Action, Comedy, and Fantasy genres. The novel is still ongoing though it is currently on-hiatus due to the author's family circumstances. There are currently 7 volumes, some chapters have been translated into English and translations of other chapters are in progress.

Synopsis

Beginning with the awakening of our main character, Kim Rok Soo, in a different world, he finds himself possessing the body of a minor villain inside of the novel [The Birth of a Hero]: Cale Henituse. As he tried to avoid being beaten up as in the original novel, his actions directly lead to the original plot derailing and he finds himself dragged into the center of many conflicts happening in the world.

Summary

I can't be a trash forever...

When I opened my eyes, I was inside a novel.

[The Birth of a Hero].

[The Birth of a Hero] was a novel focused on the adventures of the main character, Choi Han, a high school boy who was transported to a different dimension from Earth, along with the birth of the numerous heroes of the continent.

I became a part of that novel as the trash count (tcf), the family that oversaw the territory where the first village that Choi Han visits is located.

The problem is that Choi Han becomes twisted after that village, and everyone in it, are destroyed by assassins.

The bigger problem is the fact that this stupid trash who I’ve become doesn’t know about what happened in the village and messes with Choi Han, only to get beaten to a pulp.

“…This is going to be a problem.”

I feel like something serious has happened to me.

But it was worth trying to make this my new life.

I was postponing reading this novel for a while thinking that it wouldn’t be translated properly or that it would be disappointing (I was lazy), but I was wrong and this is now one of my few reasons for life. This is by far the best novel I have ever read and if I could I would I would support the original author but I can’t since I have no money and I don’t know how to do it. It might start slow and look boring and cliche but please stick with it, it gets really interesting and wholesome after some time. I came from the manhwa so I wouldn’t know how slow it is, but the novel would have more details. Season 1 of the manhwa ends around chapter 67-68 in the novel. It took me 2 or so weeks to read the whole novel and those were the 2 best weeks of my life. I want to erase my memory of reading this novel so I can read it and fall in love with it again. . . . Cale x Slackerlife

U read whole novel in 2 weeks? 2 weeks?

I myself am surprised at what I am capable of. But for those 2 weeks I read every day from 7am until 7pm, only stopping for food or toilet breaks. Before I knew it I read +800 chapters. It’s amazing what one can do if one puts their mind to it. I didn’t read at night cause my parents put screen time limits on my phone but also cause sleep is important to me. I have gained great enlightenment during those 2 weeks.

I can probably relate to you as I've done the same. I read it when I was travelling, in the between the lectures I even had to sacrifice my sleep just to complete the first volume.

Hi! I read a large portion of this novel a while ago. I just wanted to know approximately where I was in the novel. The MC had just got inside a large ball of darkness and transported to another world (I think his original world) and his friend came with him.

The mysteries in this world are also very well done, I even felt scared by some revelations, something that only happened to me with Lotm. Besides, the protagonist is simply too good, great, fantastic, and so are the secondary characters. Besides that, there is a very real feeling of "family" in this novel. As a plus, there are many illustrations from the novel.

The story revolves around Cale, who transmigrates into a book. Collects ancient powers to protect himself in the future war. His goal is being a rich slacker. But bro goes on collecting his found family, and you can't be a slacker if someone so terrible is attacking the continent so they end up fighting against this villain on multiple political grounds and kingdoms and Cale schemes, scams, coughs blood, eats apple pies and destroys his way through with his OP team. +World building simple but rich + Large scale fantasy fights with dragons, mages, beast people, necromancer, swords etc etc + Politics and scheming + MC's past and reason for transmigration - slacker life + Gold and golden plaques - romance +Found family

There's a romance? Or does the minus sign indicate there's nothing

        Reply

Minus means taking out, there's negative romance. Plus means adding

So i've only read to 168 ,but i just have to voice my frustration. I give up on trying to understand the power dynamic it's just so frustratingly inconsistent we get told one thing here and then 20 chapters later we are told something completely different. Like just as an example we are told Choi Han is on the same level as the killer whales and weaker than the humpback whales ,and then later suddenly were told he could go up against a dragon even though we were also told that a single dragon would be stronger than the entire whale tribe. Or if we take the whale tribe we were originally told the humpbacks are the strongest followed by the killer whales, but now suddenly the blue whales are the strongest of the whale tribe.

There were so many whales?? Hell idk. Power system here basically works on experience and talent and age > anything else Ofc, dragons, ancient powers and divine items are broken but not absolute in authority either

You should just read.. They said that the blue whales are the biggest not necessarily the ones who can be called kings

I commend your brain power for actually remembering the power scale. I just go with flow XD. Then again i read for relief so I really don't mind the minor inconsistencies.
